We had a fun filled October.  It was exciting towatch your children explore nature as it is changing.

Thanksgiving is fast approaching!! This is a great time to reflect on how important family isto us, how precious our children are and how valuable life is.

I am truly blessed with my husband Dan, our one and only, pride and joy son, Daniel Shea, his beautiful wife Sarah, their children (our grand babies) Kaylyn, Gage and Tinley and the grand dogs Kato and Zaya! I could not be more blessed!

I hope this holiday will be a great holiday for you.  Stop by my office and visit the “I Give Thanks” wall.  My office is located on the 1st floor, east side.

The center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23th, to celebrate Thanksgiving. Take time to create anew tradition, make a new memory and just have fun together!!

If you will need care on Friday, Nov. 24th, Please sign up – If we have enough to open we will.  We certainly do not want it to be a hard ship on any family.

Wed., November 15th – Our School Family, will bepreparing a beautiful, tasty and wonderful Thanksgiving meal.

We are excited to bring the story of Thanksgiving and friendship to your children.  We are learning new songs and finger plays.  We invited several people who went out of their wayto help us  last year, to show them appreciationand thanks.

The lunch tables will be decorated with fall colors.  The children will dress as Pilgrims andNative Americans.  Each class will contribute a fruit to our “friendship fruit” salad bowl.  We appreciate the extra effort from all school family members to make this a very special meal and a very special day.  We’d love to have you eat with us.  Let your chid’s teacher know by Wed., Nov. 8th if you are coming so we can make certain we have enough food.

With cooler weather upon us please dress your children appropriately.  Please remember to send an appropriate jacket/coat with your child daily.  PLEASE MARK YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON THEM!!!

Would like to give a special thanks to Jake Coady for the wonderful job he did on our lawn.  There was a whole lot to weed eat and clean up.

ACCA is a United Way Agency.  We encourage every one to donate to United Way.  United Way is planning a “Trivia” night, Friday, November 3rd.  If you are interested in entering a team please let us know — It is all for fun and the questions are very funny!  An example of a question is….”what was Beaver Cleaver’s Brother’s name?”.  Everyone who has participated in it in the past said it was an absolute blast.  If you’d like to participate in the Trivia Night or get a team together call 367-6510 (Terry).  Details will be in the Atchison Daily Globe and on Kair Radio, or see our office and we will get you signed up!
