“Solo Run” Chili/Soup Supper (without Mrs. Schrader’s help). We appreciate all Mrs. Schrader has done for us in the past. We are happy to continue this legacy and believe we will continue with great food!!!

When Thursday, February 8th, 2018 we will have our Chili/Soup Supper fundraiser.
4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
open to public – Pay as you please
Silent Auction – Mon, Feb. 5th – Thur, Feb 8th at 6:30 pm
Bake Sale (2/8/18) 7:30 am until all items are sold

Martin Luther King Day – “Dream Big Day”….Who do you want to be when you grow up?  Please have your children dress like who they dream they will be.  There is power in dreaming Big!  We will have a “Dream Parade” and other activities planned for the day.

January is National Staying Healthy Month:

Indoor activities:

Snowball Races: You’ll need: Styrofoam balls or balls of white yarns, spoons, and mittens for each team. Play this game as you would any relay race. Divide into teams. Each player takes turns putting on mittens and balancing a “snowball” on a spoon while racing to the other side of the room. Drop the snowball into a bucket, return to the team, pass the mittens and go to the back of the line. The first team to have all their members complete the race wins.
Fitness Shuffle: Each child will put a bean bag or coin on the tops of their feet. Keeping their feet together, the children will “shuffle” their feet forward without letting the object fall off their feet. Create a finish line and have the children race or have a tag them event.
Follow the Leader: Encourage the “leader” to add some active movements such as running in place or hopping on one foot.
Freeze Dance Party: Turn on some tuns and have the children move to the beat. When the music stops have the children freeze in a pose and hold it until the music begins again.

A great year-long project you can do as a family is to….find a jar and label it “Our Life in 2018”. Begin today writing good things that happened to you (along with each family member) on little pieces of paper. Examples: Surprise gifts, accomplished goals, and beauty of nature, “LOL” moments, memories worth saving, daily blessings. Then on December 31, 2018 open the jar and read all the amazing things that happened to you in 2018.
